Salary: Up to £32,000 per annum

Linden Tree Nursery Schools is offering a fantastic opportunity for a full time permanent (Qualified) early years room leader to join our dedicated, diverse and nurturing team within our small group of three Nursery Schools in South London. Children under the age of two need exceptional care and attention and deserve adults who are dedicated to their care. This is a very rewarding role and the right candidate should be capable and caring and willing to learn within a supportive and nurturing environment.

Linden Tree Nursery Schools is a group of small, Frobelian nursery schools local to Clapham which has been providing early years education to children aged 6 months to 5 years old since 2005.

To raise the profile of the Froebelian approach by creating a group of small Froebelian nursery schools that offer young children a quality early years’ experience delivered by knowledgeable and qualified educators.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and maintaining a safe learning environment for children to learn organically through their interests and play

  • Leading a room of children aged from 14 to 24 months and supporting staff to deliver Froebelian practice

  • Be responsible for the room and meet targets outlined by your manager

  • Foster positive relationships with your team, children and families

  • Communicate effectively to families on children’s development through documentation and learning stories

  • Ensure all staff understand safeguarding and health and safety policies relevant to their role and implement procedures effectively

Requirements or Skills:

  • A Level 3 full and relevant qualification in Childcare such as EYE, NVQ, CACHE or recognised equivalent

  • A good working knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)

  • Understanding of the Froebelian approach (more information can be found here www.froebel.org.ukorvia our website)

  • A good working knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)

  • Experience working in a nursery environment

  • The right to work in the UK and a clear enhanced DBS

  • Experience managing a room in a nursery environment

  • Experience of safeguarding and health and safety policies and procedures within a nursery environment

  • The right to work in the UK and a clear enhanced DBS
