Funding

Government Funded Nursery Fees and deposit

All children are eligible to receive 15 hours of government funding over 38 weeks of the year from the start of the term after they turn 3 years old. If both parents work more than 16 hours per week and neither earns over £100,000 per annum, then you may be eligible to receive increased government funding for up to 30 hours per week from the start of the term after your child turns 9 months old. To check if you are eligible for the increased funding levels, please see https://www.childcarechoices.gov.uk/. If you are not eligible, we will still automatically apply the universal funding to your account after your child turns 3 years old and send you a Parent Declaration form for you to complete to evidence the receipt of this funding in the first term that you receive it. The Government funding is available for 38 weeks of the year during term time only. In the UK there are three terms as follows:

Whilst the Government funding is provided for only 38 weeks of the year during term time, our places are for 51 weeks of the year and so the funded hours are provided by us on a stretched basis over the 51 weeks of the year that we are open. Applied over 51 weeks the equivalent is 22.35 hours per week (30 x 38/51 = 22.35) for those eligible for 30 hours and 11.17 hours per week (15 x 38/51 = 11.17) for those eligible for 15 hours. If you apply for the increased funding and you have been confirmed eligible you will be provided with an 11 digit code which you should send to info@ltns.org.uk along with the name of the parent who applied and their National Insurance number. You will need to do this as soon as possible and send the details to us at the latest by the end of the term before the one in which your child will start with us. By providing us with this information, you are giving us your consent to validate your code. We will then confirm the code with the relevant Local Authority and confirm it is eligible to you by email from info@ltns.org.uk. You will not be eligible to receive any funding via our schools until you have received an email from us to confirm that the relevant Local Authority has added your child to their list and will pay us the funded element. You will also need to reconfirm the eligibility code on the Government portal every 3 months to ensure that you continue to qualify. Once we have confirmed you are eligible your funded hours will be shown on your invoice alongside your additional private nursery fees. By signing our Parent Contract you are agreeing to pay for the extra hours and/or days that your child attends and for the extra services that we provide, including meals, snacks, hygiene products and Froebelian elements.

If you wish to access a funded only place then our options are to provide up to 20 hours per week, again, on a stretched basis as follows:

The voluntary charge means you fairly contribute to the full cost of our provision including all meals, snacks, hygiene products and Froebelian elements.

You will not be charged a registration fee for a funded only place, however you will still need to pay a deposit of £1,000 which will be refunded to you once your child attends and the full payment for your place is received by us from the relevant local authority.
